Plagiarism Research Paper (PROV-504-P01, Spring 2015)
When I just arrived in America, the term of plagiarism confused me a lot for a long time. In my country, China, we don’t have any consideration of plagiarism. It’s totally different. However, after I took the class of PROV-504-P01, I realized that “Plagiarism” is an important part of “Honor Code”. Once before, I even copied the information from the Internet directly on my homework. Of course, I have also got only 58 out of 100 at that time. Right now, when I began to know how important it is to keep academic honesty, I pay more and more my attention to this issue. Therefore, I attach this paper, “Plagiarism Research Paper”, here. Definitely, to avoid plagiarism is extremely important for every single international student, in whose country there is no realization of plagiarism.

Second, this is a group project. The reason why I add it here is that this is the first time I am enrolled in a group project. In this work, I am responsible for solution design. This course is intended to teach student how to get useful data from different resources and how to work with big data. Through this project, I have not only learnt much about big data, but I have also show my advantages in this area. I designed my own algorithm and solution, and they attracted professor’s attention successfully. The professor gave us his appreciation on our coding source and our model, and I covered all the program work and solution design in this project. It greatly encouraged me to study in America. These are three my working paper, below.
Analytical Summary_GCLP5 ( EAP-508-P01, Spring 2015 )
Third, an Analytical Summary of De Araujo (2011) comes from one of my pathway program courses EAP 508. This is a summary of a literature review. This summary is different from ordinary summary because I needed to write my own analysis of the article, questions about one point and relations with former articles. Besides, this article is about the adjustment issues as an international student in American College. This topic is related to me, and I met same problems that occurred in this article, such as homesickness, social support and establishing relationship with Americans. In addition, as a discussion leader of this paper, I read this article deep, and I found many interesting points to share with others. Through writing this summary, I not only began to familiar with the form of literature review, but also prepare for the adjustment issues in the future.
